Welcome

Have you ever followed a fashion blogger, admired their style, but after a while wondered, where do they keep their clothes? We have. We still do. Occasionally, a blogger will post a picture of their shoe collection, which is reminiscent of a department store shoe section, or a full length picture of themselves in their walk in closet, which is the size of an airport hangar. Realistically, who has that kind of space? Not many. Not us. We love fashion, keep up with trends, and follow different fashion blogs, but neither of us has a lot of space for all of the clothes we see on Instagram and various blogs. Actually, neither of us has the space for the clothes we have now, but that hasn’t stopped us from adding to our wardrobe. We’d adore a massive walk in closet, but in truth, we only have a couple of square feet and a single rod on which to hang our clothes.
When we talked about starting a fashion blog, we came to the conclusion that this is where a majority of other blogs fall short; their style and purchase habits don’t reflect the average shopper’s closet space, and often budgets. We contemplated a minimalist blog, but neither of us wants to commit to a set number of pieces of clothing or a single color palette. Eventually, the term “micro-closet” popped into our head and stuck.
What is micro-closet? Literally, it is a very small closet. For us, it is a challenge to curate our own sense of style and beautiful wardrobe within the space we have (or lack thereof). Neither of us is an expert yet, but we strive to dress well and have become accustomed to living in small apartments in different countries, and confining our wardrobe to a limited space. In upcoming posts, we will share our experience in cultivating our wardrobe, give advice on how to curate your style and build your own wardrobe within the space you have, and share shopping tips. We believe we have a lot of offer our fellow fashion enthusiasts, but will also learn more about our own sense of style along the way. This is an exciting adventure for both blogger and reader.
